Index review calendar

Every index change is decided at a scheduled review. This page lists the next twelve months of review cut-offs, announcements and effective dates across all tracked indexes — the moments to watch for new inclusions. Dates marked "approx." follow the provider's typical window; confirmed dates appear on each index page as soon as they are announced.

Quarterly rebalance (Mar / Jun / Sep / Dec) + ad hoc changes

S&P rebalances quarterly, effective after the close on the third Friday of March, June, September and December. Constituent changes (M&A, market-cap moves) are also announced ad hoc with ~1–5 days notice.

Annual reconstitution (December) + quarterly weight updates

Nasdaq reconstitutes the index annually in December, effective after the close on the third Friday. Quarterly weight updates also take effect on the third Friday of March, June and September.

Quarterly review (Mar / Jun / Sep / Dec)

FTSE Russell reviews quarterly using end-of-Tuesday rankings after the first Friday of the review month. Changes take effect after the close on the third Friday. The March review also determines the FTSE 250 reshuffle that feeds future promotions.

STOXX reviews the DAX semi-annually in March and September, with quarterly fast-entry/fast-exit checks in June and December. Changes take effect after the close on the third Friday of the review month.

Annual reconstitution (October) + extraordinary deletions

Nikkei reviews constituents once a year in early October; changes take effect at the start of October trading. Stocks are also removed ad hoc on delisting or designation to the liquidation post.

Annual reconstitution (June)

FTSE Russell reconstitutes its US indexes once a year: companies are ranked by market cap on rank day (April 30), preliminary addition/deletion lists are published after the close in late May and updated weekly, and the rebalance takes effect after the close on the fourth Friday of June.

Quarterly review (Feb / May / Aug / Nov)

Hang Seng Indexes reviews quarterly, announcing results in February, May, August and November. Changes take effect on the Monday following the first Friday of March, June, September and December.
