Report a data error

Spotted a wrong date, sector or return? Include these three things and the fix is quick:

• The index and ticker — for example, S&P 500, ABC.
• What the page shows and what you believe is correct.
• A link to the source you checked — the provider's press release or an exchange notice is ideal.

Corrections are made against the original source. If a number cannot be verified, it is removed or marked as unrecorded rather than replaced with a guess — the same rule the methodology follows everywhere on the site.

Other requests

• Methodology questions — how a return is computed or what a column means.
• Privacy requests — account deletion or data export; see the privacy policy.
• Advertising — placements, and the publisher ID listed in ads.txt.
• Everything else — feedback, bugs, ideas for what to track next.

Response time

Email is answered within a few business days. If the problem looks like a stale price or a constituent change that has not propagated upstream yet, check the review calendar and the provider newsroom first — the daily refresh usually resolves it on its own.
